Este trabajo analiza los determinantes sociales de la salud y, de forma particular, el género en su dimensión de determinante estructural de la misma. El análisis comprende la manera en que el género influye en la construcción de los distintos determinantes sociales de la salud y cómo afecta la materialización del derecho humano a la salud de la mujer. Asimismo, este trabajo da cuenta de la relación existente entre el binomio género/salud y el objetivo internacional de avanzar hacia un desarrollo sustentable, subrayando la imposibilidad de dicho avance sin mejorar la salud de la mujer alrededor del mundoThis work analyzes the social determinants of health and, in particular, gender in the dimension of its structural determinant. The analysis includes how gender influences the construction of the different social determinants of health and how it affects the materialization of women's human right to health. Likewise, this work accounts for the existing relationship between the gender/health binomial and the international objective of advancing towards sustainable development, emphasizing the impossibility of such progress without improving women's health around the world.
