This work is the result of the research done by the authors during the first module of the Training Course for University Professors (within the frame of the cooperation agreement entered into by University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and the University of the Republic, Uruguay). As the central topic of the module was University Pedagogy: University Politics and Regulations, the theme chosen for the essay reflects the interest of the authors inthe generation of a teaching-learning process that allows students to develop a better future profession. This article is intended to contribute to the introduction of meaningful learning strategies in the classroom by giving examples of some didactic tools, applied by the authors in their teaching practice, and other institutional experiences at the University of the Republic Law School, in the light of the present debate of teachers' functions and role.Este trabajo se produce en el marco del Curso de Formación Docente (Convenio Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina-Universidad de la República, Uruguay). Dada la temática del primer módulo, Pedagogía universitaria: Política y Legislación universitaria, el tema elegido responde a la inquietud de las autoras por la generación de un procesode enseñanza-aprendizaje que permita a los estudiantes un mejor desarrollo de su futura profesión. El artículo constituye un intento de aportar a la introducción de estrategias de aprendizaje significativo en el aula, brindando ejemplos de algunas herramientas didácticas aplicadas por las autoras en su práctica docente, y otras propuestas desarrolladas institucionalmente en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de laRepública, a la luz del debate planteado en el módulo en torno a la función docente.
