This article aims to analyze the institution of public policy exception, which belongs to private international law, within the framework of the relationshipbetween this discipline and public international law, considering within the latter the international human rights law. The objective of this research is to study how the international legal order shapes the indeterminate contours of public policy exception. The analysis also looks at Peruvian domestic law.Este artículo pretende analizar la institución del orden público internacional, perteneciente al derecho internacional privado, en el marco de larelación entre esta disciplina y el derecho internacional público, considerando, dentro de este, al derecho internacional de los derechos humanos. El objetivo de esta investigación es estudiar cómo el orden jurídico internacional da forma a los contornos indeterminados del orden público internacional. El análisis emprendido acude, además, a la legislación interna peruana.
