Without a doubt, with the conquest of America everything would be re—signified: pyramids, stelae, mats, murals, food and drink; but it is important to emphasize that Tlazohteotl is the best example of the Spanish reaction to Mexican symbols and their incomprehension, since no other symbol had more negative burdens on the part of the Spaniards than Tlazohteotl.Sin duda alguna, con la conquista de América todo fue re-significado: pirámides, estelas, esteras, murales, comida y bebida; pero es importante recalcar que Tlazohteotl es el mejor ejemplo de la reacción española ante los símbolos mexicas y su incomprensión, ya que ningún otro símbolo tuvo más cargas negativas por parte de los españoles como Tlazohteotl.
