This research exposes the organization of the public ministry in the new Mexican criminal justice system, highlighting its functions and the challenges it faces today, concluding that the public prosecutor does not have total legal autonomy, since their functions may be manipulated by the superiors, this is an obstacle to combating corruption.En esta investigación se expone la organización del ministerio público en el nuevo sistema de justicia penal mexicano, se destacan sus funciones y los retos que enfrenta actualmente, se concluye que el ministerio público no tiene total autonomía jurídica, por lo que pueden ser manipuladas sus funciones por los superiores jerárquicos, lo que representa un obstáculo para combatir la corrupción.
