The article analyzes the juridically content of the Spanish Royal decree 53/2013 on animal welfare in experimentation, education and other scientific ends. This writing includes all the Spanish Royal Decree articles and stands out the application and legal interpretation that has this body respect of the previous texts in the matter. Even this way, the Decree only transposes the European Board 2010/63/UE on Animal welfare, but without juridical application of the new guarantees, the text must to transform in law to have juridical effects.El artículo analiza jurídicamente el contenido del Real Decreto español 53/2013 sobre bienestar animal en experimentación, docencia y otros fines científicos. Este escrito recopila el articulado al completo del Real Decreto español y destaca la aplicación e interpretación legal que tiene este cuerpo respecto de los anteriores textos en la materia. Aun así, el Decreto solo transpone la Directiva Europea 2010/63/UE sobre bienestar Animal, pero sin aplicación jurídica de las nuevas garantías, ya que el texto debe transformarse en ley para tener efectos jurídicos reales.
