In September of 2016 the Toro de Peña will be held in Tordesillas, an spectacle without bullfighting and death in front of public, that will replace the Toro de la Vega Tournament, because of the adoption of the decree law 2/2016, of 19th May, and the estimated administrative appeal presented by the Party Against Animal Abuse against the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Castilla and Leon and the Town Hall of Tordesillas. This legislative commentary offers a description of these developments around the Toro de la Vega Tournament and how these have affected to this, leading to its prohibition and replacement by the Toro de Peña.En septiembre de 2016 se celebra en Tordesillas el Toro de la Peña, espectáculo sin lidia ni muerte ante el público que substituye al Torneo del Toro de la Vega, debido a la aprobación del Decreto Ley 2/2016, de 19 de mayo, y la estimación del recurso contencioso-administrativo que presentó el Partido Animalista Contra el Maltrato Animal contra la Administración de la Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León y el Ayuntamiento de Tordesillas. Este comentario legislativo ofrece una descripción de dichas novedades en torno al Toro de la Vega y como han repercutido en éste, dando lugar a su prohibición y substitución por el actual Toro de la Peña.
