The text attempt to explain two concepts which are, first on the hand, the specific characteristics of research applied in the evaluation instance that makes it a suitable method for generating deep learning in students; as well as, on the other hand, the relevance of the relationship between research and teaching in the figure of a teacher-researcher.El trabajo se dirige a explicar cuáles son las características propias de la investigación aplicada en la instancia de evaluación que la con- vierten en un método idóneo para generar un aprendizaje profundo en el alumno, así como la relevancia de la relación existente entre investigación y docencia en la figura de un docente-investigador.
