Since the middle of the last century, the concern for a healthy environment has been increasing and has caused environmental regulation to be analyzed by the States based on their Constitutions and federal laws. I will brief analyze article 4 of the Constitution to reflect on the status of animals when speaking of the right to a healthy environment, since it is in the environment where animals and, in general, all living beings are born, grow and reproduce.A partir de mediados del siglo pasado la preocupación por un medio ambiente sano ha ido en incremento y ha hecho que la regulación ambiental sea analizada por los Estados a partir de sus Constituciones y leyes federales. Realizaré un análisis breve del artículo 4o. constitucional para reflexionar en qué estatus se encuentran los animales cuando se habla del derecho a un medio ambiente sano, ya que es en el medio ambiente donde nacen, crecen y se reproducen los animales y, en general, todos los seres vivos.
