This article analyzes the scope within which the concept of "land use planning" is used according to our Law and places it face to face with the postulates of the so called "environmental justice" in order to define the problems raised with respect to the fair treatment that everybody must receive in terms of stipulations regarding the use of coastal areas, participation of and access to environmental information.El artículo analiza el alcance que tiene el concepto de "ordenamiento territorial" en nuestro Derecho y lo confronta con los postulados de la denominada "justicia ambiental", a fin de definir los problemas que se plantean en relación con el trato equitativo que se deben dar a todas las personas en materia de ordenación en el uso de las zonas costeras, la participación y el acceso a la información ambiental.
