During the period 1891-1955, the municipal regime of the Province of Buenos Aires reached its normative maturity. When the Unión Cívica Radical reached the power (1918) it began an era of juridic reorganization between the narrow limits allowed by the provincial Constitution. In 1934, when the Conservative Party returned to the power,they made a general reform in the provincial Constitution, the most important faults were rectified but not its basic spirit. The peronista party did not innovate in this question.En el período 1891-1955 el régimen municipal de la Provincia de Buenos Aires entró en su madurez normativa. Al llegar la Unión Cívica Radical al poder (1918) comenzó una era de modernización de dicho ordenamiento jurídico dentro de los estrechos límites permitidos por la Constitución provincial. Al efectuarse en 1934, durante la vuelta del conservadurismo al poder, una reforma general de la Constitución bonaerense, se corrigieron sus más importantes fallas pero se mantuvo su espíritu. El peronismo no innovó mayormente en la cuestión.
