This article focuses on the extending citizenship under the first imperial Dinasty. some references about the late republic are made. Then Caesars Government, the Principate of Augustus and especially, Claudius Government are analized. The speech that the above - mentioned made before the senate in the year 48 b.C, is studied. In this speech he requested that citizens of Gaul be admitted to the senate, which reveals the growing incorporation of the provintial ones not only to the culture but to the roman politics. Hesitations in the process of enlargement of the citizenship, particularly between Caesar and Augustus, and then Claudius are also examined. As well as the reaction not always positive, of the roman leadership opposite to the romanization Process whereby the Empire was incorporating new citizens to the sphere of the politics and of the roman high society is studied.El artículo trata el tema de la extensión de la ciudadanía bajo la primera dinastía imperial. Se realizan algunas referencias a la república tardía y luego se aborda el gobierno de César, el principado de Augusto y, especialmente, el gobierno de Claudio. Se estudia el discurso que dicho emperador pronunciara ante el senado en el año 48 d.C, por el cual solicita la admisión al senado de ciudadanos provenientes de la Galia, lo cual demuestra la creciente incorporación de los provinciales no solo a la cultura sino a la política romana. se analizan también las vacilaciones en el proceso de ampliación de la ciudadanía, especialmente entre César y Augusto y luego Claudio. Asimismo se estudia la reacción no siempre positiva de la dirigencia romana frente al proceso de romanización, por el cual el imperio incorporaba nuevos ciudadanos a la esfera de la política y de la alta sociedad romana.
