UNA RECAPITULACIÓN Jorge CARPIZO * In 1978, the author of this article published the first edition of his book: Mexicos presidentialism, in which he identi-fied the eleven causes that explained the extraordinary power of Mexican presidents, making of them the spinal column of the Mexican political system. After twenty-two years of the publication of that book, in this article, the same author makes a revision of the fundamental concepts and ideas expressed in said book, in order to recapitulate on the changes, adjustments and developments expe-rienced by the presidency during those years. UNA RECAPITULACIÓN Jorge CARPIZO * En 1978, el autor del presente artículo publicó la primera edición de su libro titulado: El presidencialismo mexicano, en el cual señaló las once causas por las cuales el titular del Poder Ejecutivo federal era tan poderoso y la columna vertebral de todo el sistema político mexicano. A veintidós años de la publicación del mencionado libro, en este ensayo el mismo autor hace una revisión de los conceptos e ideas fundamentales expresadas en aquél, con el objeto de hacer una recapitulación de los cambios, ajustes y desarrollos que la institución presidencial ha tenido durante todo este tiempo.
