| Description | The debates on implementing Pillar III of the R2P have revolved around the use of force, making invisible the political, economic, and legal measures that different international actors can adopt to stop the commission of mass atrocities. In this sense, this article aims to: 1. To analyze the backgrounds, the emergence and linkage of the principle of R2P with the use of force; 2. Study the measures that can be adopted under Pillar III of this principle; 3. Deepen the commission of crimes against humanity in Venezuela; and 4. Highlight the measures adopted by different international actors in that country. Finally, some reflections are included as conclusions. | en-US |
| Description | Los debates sobre la implementación del Pilar III de la RdeP ha girado en torno al uso de la fuerza, invisibilizando las medidas políticas, económicas y legales que diferentes actores internacionales pueden adoptar para detener la comisión de atrocidades masivas. En este sentido, el presente artículo tiene como objetivos: 1) analizar los antecedentes, el surgimiento y vinculación del principio de la RdeP con el uso de la fuerza; 2) estudiar las medidas que se pueden adoptar bajo el Pilar III de este principio; 3) profundizar sobre la comisión de crímenes de lesa humanidad en Venezuela, y 4) destacar las medidas adoptadas por diferentes actores internacionales en dicho país. Finalmente, se incluyen algunas reflexiones a manera de conclusiones. | es-ES |
