DescriptionThe Italian Animal Protection laws can serve as the mirror which all the Spanish Autonomous Communities could look into due to the geographic, economic and cultural similarities that unite the two countries. In this article, in addition to providing a brief summary of Italian history regarding national laws on animal abuse, we collect the testimony by a world renowned expert in feline etiology: Dr. Eugenia Natoli, who works for the Municipal Government for the City of Rome. As the laws influence the form in which people think and as social progress pushes legislators to adopt reforms, one can find a valued response in the words of Dr. Natoli.en-US
DescriptionLas Leyes italianas de Protección Animal pueden ser el espejo en el que podrían mirarse la totalidad de las Comunidades Autónomas españolas por las similitudes geográficas, económicas y culturales que hermanan los dos países. En este artículo, además de hacer un breve repaso de la historia italiana respecto de las Leyes nacionales que castigan el maltrato animal, recogemos el testimonio de una experta a nivel mundial en la etología felina: Eugenia Natoli. La doctora Natoli que trabaja para el Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad de Roma. Como las leyes influyen en la forma de pensar de las personas y como el progreso social empuja al legislador para adoptar reformas legislativas encuentra en las palabras de Natoli una respuesta personal de gran valor.es-ES
