DescriptionThis research article seeks to establish the reasons why constitutional changes have occurred throughout Colombian history. It is first necessary to briefly present the constitutional history of these past two hundred years. Specifically, the Constitutions of 1821, 1830, 1832, 1843, 1853, 1858, 1863, 1886 and the current of 1991, will be studied and the historical context within which each one occurred will be analyzed. This study uses both historical-legal and inductive analytical methods, which allows us to draw some parameters to understand constitutional changes and their relationship with the real elements of power. In conclusion, Colombia’s constitutional changes have arisen due to different causes such as independence from the Spanish crown, civil wars, economic crises and religious causes.en-US
DescriptionEste artículo de investigación intenta establecer las razones por las que se han producido los cambios de constituciones a través de la historia colombiana; para esto, se debe analizar el contexto histórico en que se produce cada una de ellas, específicamente, se estudiarán las cartas fundamentales de 1821, 1830, 1832, 1843, 1853, 1858, 1863, 1886 y la vigente de 1991. Para esto, se utilizará tanto el método histórico-jurídico como el inductivo, lo que permite sacar algunos parámetros para entender los cambios constitucionales y su relación con los factores reales de poder. En conclusión, los cambios constitucionales en Colombia han obedecido a diferentes causas como la independencia ante la corona española, las guerras civiles, las crisis económicas y las causas religiosas.es-ES
