Lawrence B. Solum is an internationally recognized legal theorist, who works in constitutional theory, procedure, and the philosophy of law. Professor Solum received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and received his B.A. with highest departmental honors in philosophy from the University of California at Los Angeles. Nowadays, he is the Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Law at the Georgetown University. Professor Solum has written several books and essays on legal theory, and is also the Editor of Legal Theory Blog, an influential weblog that focuses on developments in contemporary normative and positive legal theory. The interview was focused on issues related to constitutional interpretation. Especially, we talk about legal originalism, its practical and theoretical challenges, and some of its implications within the Argentine constitutional system.
