This article examines the Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Peru, with a focus on legal analysis. It should be noted that this work would not have been possible without the support of a multidisciplinary perspective, which allowed the legal approach to be nourished by contributions from other disciplines. In this respect, issues such as the behaviour of institutional actors, the construction of the concept of a "systematic pattern" of human rights violations, the criteria for attribution of responsibility and proposals for reform of the judicial system were addressed. The Final Report of the CVR emphasises the need to understand the national historical context in which the violence took place and the importance of analysing the crimes and human rights violations in order to determine the political and criminal responsibility of the perpetrators. Consequently, we must not forget that the response to violence must be framed within the guidelines of a democratic regime that respects the rule of law.El presente artículo examina el Informe Final de la Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR) en el Perú, con un enfoque en el análisis jurídico. Cabe precisar que este trabajo no hubiera sido posible sin el apoyo de una perspectiva multidisciplinaria que permitió nutrir al enfoque jurídico con aportes de otras disciplinas. En esa medida, se abordaran temas como el comportamiento de los actores institucionales, la construcción del concepto de "patrón sistemático" de violación a los derechos humanos, los criterios de atribución de responsabilidades y las propuestas de reforma del sistema judicial. El Informe Final de la CVR destaca la necesidad de comprender el contexto histórico nacional en el que se gesto la violencia, así como la importancia de analizar los crímenes y violaciones a los derechos humanos para determinar la responsabilidad política y penal de los perpetradores. En consecuencia, no debemos olvidar que la respuesta a la violencia debe enmarcarse en los lineamientos de un régimen democrático respetuoso del Estado de Derecho.
