In the first section of the work, they introduce a conceptual framework, distingui-shing between the "attendance quorum" and the "voting quorum", which seek to guarantee a minimum of representativity in the delibe-rations and decision-making of legislative bodies. In the second section of the essay, the authors analyze article 63 of Mexico"s Constitution, identifying two possible interpretations. Finally, they conclude that on the basis of a grammatical and systemic interpretation, the figure that ought to be used to calculate the "attendance quorum" in said Chamber is 500. En la primera parte, desarrollan un marco conceptual, distinguiendo entre quórum de asistencia y quórum de votación, mediante los cuales se pretende garantizar un mínimo de representatividad en las deliberaciones y decisiones de los congresos. En la segunda parte, realizan un análisis del artículo 63 constitucional, del que destacan dos posibles interpretaciones, concluyendo que de su interpretación gramatical y sistemática, el número a partir del cual se debe computar el quórum de asistencia en esta cámara es de 500.
