The scenario that occurred during the year 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic had an unprecedented character that impacted vast social sectors in relation to their survival strategies. The national States and also the sub-national levels were not oblivious to this impact and deployed a series of protective measures. In this article, following the theoretical contributions of Robert Castel and Urlich Beck, we analyse the degree of social protection that was deployed from the State and its impact on the well-being of people affected by Compulsory and Preventive Social Isolation (ASPO).El escenario sobrevenido durante el año 2020 a partir de la pandemia de la COVID-19 tuvo un carácter inédito que impactó en vastos sectores sociales en relación con sus estrategias de supervivencia. Los Estados nacionales y también de los niveles sub-nacionales no fueron ajenos a dicho impacto y desplegaron una serie de medidas de protección. En el presente artículo, siguiendo los aportes teóricos de Robert Castel y Urlich Beck, analizamos el grado de protección social que se desplegó desde el Estado y su impacto en el bienestar de las personas afectadas por el Aislamiento Social Preventivo y Obligatorio (ASPO).
