This article will discuss the key questions of the reform of The Inter-American System for Human Rights in order to know what political interests of each country or group of countries are about it, and what certain are some of their demands. It will be observed that while some of these demands are well founded, nothing will lead to a strengthening of the system, despite its shortcomings are recognized by all parties. No country is willing to compromise on their positions as long as they do not achieve their political goals, anything related to the defense of Human Rights.En el artículo se analizan los puntos principales de la reforma del Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos para conocer qué intereses políticos tiene cada país o grupo de países, y qué de cierto tienen algunas de sus reivindicaciones. Se observará que si bien algunas de estas reivindicaciones están perfectamente fundadas, la reforma no derivará en un fortalecimiento del Sistema pese a que sus carencias son reconocidas por todas las partes. Ningún país está dispuesto a ceder en sus posiciones sin antes lograr sus objetivos políticos, no siempre relacionados con la defensa de los Derechos Humanos.
