DescriptionThe book entitled “Direito da Saúde Animal” (in English language: Animal Health Law), written in Portuguese language by Luciano Rocha Santana and Thiago Pires Oliveira, brings together three chapters on various animal health issues in the light of Animal Law. So, this work shows the relevant Brazilian legislation about animal health surveillance and control of zoonoses. After examining the rules applicable to the so-called “farm animals”, in parallel with the protection of the so-called “companion animals” under the new public policy paradigm named “responsible guardianship” that the authors propose as a groundbreaking concept in comparison with “responsible ownership”, using Comparative Law to present aspects related to the same issue in Italy, Switzerland, Argentina and Chile.en-US
DescriptionEl libro titulado “Direito da Saúde Animal” (en lengua española: Derecho de la Salud Animal), escrito en portugués por Luciano Rocha Santana y Thiago Pires Oliveira, reúne tres capítulos sobre varios temas de salud animal a la luz del Derecho Animal. Así, esta obra presenta la legislación brasileña relevante, las políticas públicas de defensa sanitaria y los mecanismos de control de zoonosis. También examina las normas aplicables a los llamados “animales de granja”, en paralelo con la protección de los llamados “animales de compañía” bajo el nuevo paradigma de política pública llamado “guarda responsable” que los autores proponen como un rompedor concepto en comparación con el de “tenencia responsable”, recurriendo al Derecho Comparado para presentar aspectos relacionados con el mismo tema en Italia, Suiza, Argentina y Chile.es-ES
