In the present document, the Author comments, the Bill 54, tabled in the National Assembly in Québec, by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Pierre Paradis. The purpose of this Bill is to modify Québec’s Civil Code so that animals are no longer considered to be movable property. The Author, comments the process and some declarations of the Bill, as well as other significant breakthroughs that Bill 54 will introduce. En el presente documento, la autora comenta el Proyecto de Ley 54, presentado en la Asamblea Nacional en Québec, por el Ministro de agricultura, pesca y alimentación Pierre Paradis. El propósito de éste Proyecto, es el de modificar el Código Civil de Québec, con el fin de que los animales dejen de ser considerados como bienes muebles. La autora comenta el proceso y algunas declaraciones del Proyecto, así como otras disposiciones que se pretenden introducir al Código Civil.
