It is important to use words rightfully, especially in the law, in order not to betray the reality in a reductive or enhanced way. This article reconsiders the use of the word "beasts", when speaking of animals, and the notion of "animal welfare" in inappropriate contexts. This, for the law and common language to be more fair, towards our fellow nonhuman animals.Es importante usar las palabras correctamente, especialmente en el derecho, para no traicionar la realidad de forma reductiva o mejorada. Este artículo reconsidera el uso de la palabra “bestias” cuando uno se refiere a los animales y a la noción de “bienestar animal” en contextos inapropiados. Esto para que el derecho y nuestro lenguaje sean más justos con los animales no humanos.
