DescriptionThe present article tries to show a wide panorama of the participation of Mexico before the Inter American Commission and Court of Human Rights. With this aim, this paper studies the origin of the InterAmerican System of Protection of Human Rights, as well as the evolution of its organs of supervision, emphasizing the meaning of its work in the individual request in attention to violations of human rights in the American continent. The participation of the Mexican government before these organs of supervision has been translated, among other actions, in the progressive ratification of the effective inter american instruments. The Mexican government has also participated and collaborated as part of the procedures of individual complaints and provisional measures in special cases. The Mexican participation can also be studied in the evolution of the international jurisprudence through the impulse and exposition of advisory opinions before the InterAmerican Court, and the participation of outstanding Mexican jurists as specialists of the Commission and the Court.en-US
DescriptionEl presente artículo tiene por objeto mostrar un panorama de la participación de México ante la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos y la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. Con dicho fin, se estudia de manera general, la génesis del Sistema Interamericano de Protección de los Derechos Humanos, así como la evolución de sus órganos de supervisión, destacando el significado de su labor en la atención de peticiones individuales de violaciones de los derechos humanos en el continente americano. La participación del gobierno de México ante dichos órganos de supervisión se ha traducido, entre otras acciones: en la ratificación progresiva de los instrumentos interamericanos vigentes; en la participación y colaboración como parte de los procedimientos de quejas individuales y medidas de protección en casos concretos; en la evolución de la jurisprudencia internacional a través del impulso y planteamiento de opiniones consultivas ante la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, y en la participación que han tenido destacados juristas mexicanos en calidad de expertos integrantes de la comisión y de la corte.es-ES
