This paper could be seen as a part of the many articles and books, written by myself, and aimed at the reconstruction of the willing process in Buenos Aires through the Indian Period, from a legal history view. After the analysis of the changes operated in the inheritance law and doctrine during the second half of the eighteenth century, two chapters are devoted to delineate the survival of the old and the rise of the new in nineteenth century Buenos Aires legal practice. The notarial records constitute, through a twenty year sampling, the main source of this work.Esta investigación es complementaria de los numerosos artículos y libros de mi autoría destinados a reconstruir, con perspectiva ius-historiográfica, la testamentifacción bonaerense durante el período indiano. En ésta, después de analizar los cambios legislativos y doctrinarios operados en el Derecho sucesorio desde la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, desarrollamos, en dos capítulos, lo concerniente a las formas y al contenido de los testamentos tratando de marcar, en los distintos temas, la pervivencia de lo tradicional y la aparición de lo nuevo en la praxis bonaerense del siglo XIX. Los registros notariales, a través de una cala veinteañal comprensiva de los años 1830, 1850 y 1870, constituyen la fuente primaria por excelencia para la realización del trabajo.
