This article draws a brief history of interpolationism concerning the Roman legal sources, from its very beginning in the Humanist Legal Scholarship to its fall in the second half of 20th century. Some of the recent lines of research in the Romanist studies pointing out a new rendering of the problems of textual criticism are also discussed here.En este articulo se presenta una breve semblanza de la historia del metodo interpolacionista referido a las fuentes jurídicas romanas, desde sus origenes en la Escuela Humanista del siglo XVI hasta su decadencia en la segunda mitad del siglo XX, y se apuntan algunas lineas de investigación recientes que apuntan a una recuperacion de la preocupacion por los problemas de critica textual en los estudios romanistas.
